Good Dogs for Great Americans helps provide specially trained service dogs to veterans who need them, restoring independence and improving quality of life.
In partnership with the Washington Capitals, we’re turning performance on the ice into life-changing support for those who have protected our nation. For every blocked shot by the Capitals during the 2026 - 2027 NHL season, CACI will donate $250 to America’s VetDogs to fund training and placement of service animals.
How it works
CACI’s signature philanthropy program, Good Dogs for Great Americans helps veterans regain their independence through service dogs trained for their specific needs and matched for life.
Teaming up with the Washington Capitals, CACI is giving $250 to America’s VetDogs for every Capitals blocked shot. Across the entire 2026 - 2027 NHL season, this partnership will support the training of up to eight service dogs every year, provided at no cost to the recipients.
CACI’s very first Good Dog is Bravo, a yellow Lab puppy who loves playing and belly rubs. Over the next two years, Bravo will train with America’s VetDogs to be a partner to a veteran, helping them navigate daily challenges with confidence.
